When I first started studying for my independent prescribing course (IP) way back in 2o17, I was really struck by how much of my supervisor GP's time was taken up by geriatric patients.
Fast forward to 2024, and after 2 years of working as a clinical pharmacist in a primary care network, this trend has become even more prevalent. A big proportion of my patients now reside within the "geriatric" cohort of people, so I thought I would make a video discussing the importance of studying geriatrics as a pharmacist.
