How I shot a mock Bleu de Chanel Ad
I was taking some product shots of Bleu de Chanel when the thought occurred to me that I could have some fun and shoot a mock advert for this most beautiful and subtle of men's fragrances.
I already had quite a few shots using my Neewer CB60 RGB light and also some portrait videos of myself using the same light. I then thought I could also take some video footage of the fragrance itself. The basic set up was like this:

All I did was to put the product on a table and shine the RGB light onto it, simple as that really. I used the Neewer 90cm octagonal softbox to give a nice diffuse light to the proceedings. For the portrait video shots, I sat across the table with the camera on the other side. The low light performance of the Fuji XH2s was quite good in my opinion. I used my Fuji 33mm f1.4 lens which really helped in the low light set up.
I filmed everything in 6.2K open gate which is another great feature of this Fuji camera. It meant I could really zoom in and zoom out and use camera panning movements without any loss of quality. Some people might think the 6.2K open gate it's a gimmick but I think it's fantastic. I use it quite a bit and it allows me to repurpose footage for social media reels etc while still maintaining excellent quality.
Overall I was quite pleased with how it turned out. I have since bought a Neewer RGB tube light, I think this will work wonders for my creative options going forward. I'm looking forward to more experiments using these excellent lights.
