Sampling the delightful street food in York

It's amazing how quickly the past two years has flown by, it's almost hard to believe that we had all gone through such a tough time with Covid.

I had the joy of visiting York the other day, the last time I had visited was May 2021 when England was tentatively coming out of lockdown and people were still quite cautious. Fast forward to May 2022 and it was like being back to pre pandemic times. Hardly a mask in sight, people in close proximity and mingling, just the way I have always liked it.

It's easy to take for granted the freedoms and simple joys we had enjoyed before this epidemiological nightmare that had unfolded before us. Life is for living, zero Covid is a target that is unattainable and I'm glad the UK government realised this.

Before the pandemic, I had made a vow to travel more and experience life as it should be. Post pandemic, my convictions in this area have only grown stronger. Life is short and we need to enrich our existence with a rich and varied journey.

During the pandemic did you reflect on life, what lessons did you come away with?

Here's to the future and the exciting travels ahead of us!
